Understanding the Availability Columns

In the Search Results page, there are three columns that indicate where a part is available:

There are three indicators that show if the part is available:

Available in full quantity, a solid black checkmark appears in that column.

Available in partial quantity, a 'hollow' checkmark is displayed.

If the part is not available, no indicator will appear, or  the text Check with Store or Call for Availability will be displayed.

Alternate and Replacement Parts

If the part is an Alternate Part (which means there is another part that you can use instead of the one that is shown), an ALT symbol will appear next to the part name.  Rollover for information about which part this is an alternate for.

If there is a part that has been replaced with another brand or part number, a REP symbol will appears.

Using Cover-to-Cover™

Activant Cover-to-Cover™ is a powerful tool that provides the information needed to quickly and easily identify and sell the right parts all in one place.  Instantly view a wealth of manufacturer data directly from the part results page, including product photographs and images, specifications, OE references, installation instructions, warranty information, technical service bulletins (TSBs), material safety data sheets (MSDSs), and much more.

Cover-to-Cover information is available for nearly 3 million part numbers.  If a particular part number has Cover-To-Cover information available, the part number will appear as a hyperlink (blue underlined part number) on the page.  To view, simply click the part number.

Changing Prices

In the search results pages, the price is displayed but not editable.  To change a price, go to the Estimates page, see Modifying Items in an Estimate.

Related Parts

The search results page may also display non-catalog parts relating to the Job you have searched.  You can select the part and adjust quantities and price from this screen.

Adding the Related Parts does not automatically order the parts.  You can adjust the actual order when you place your order from the Estimate page.

Labor Information

The Search Results page also displays the Labor operations associated with the Job you have searched.  You can select or de-select labor operations based on the vehicle and other relevant attributes.

Posting Parts and/or Labor to an Estimate
